Ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner charged with violence after he left a taxi diver with a broken jaw



Former Arsenal star and Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner has been charged with violence over an altercation that left taxi diver with a broken jaw. 
Bendtner, who plays for Norwegian side Rosenborg, was arrested in September after an incident with a Copenhagen taxi driver, which saw him undergo surgery for a broken jaw. 
 The Danish footballer was arrested and later released.
On Thursday, Bendtner has been charged with violence over the altercation, Mail Online reported.
The driver was also charged with throwing an unknown object towards Bendtner and his girlfriend without hitting them but he is protesting his innocence, the driver's lawyer Mette Grith Stage told Reuters.
Bendtner, 30, who played for Premier League club Arsenal from 2005 to 2014, represented Denmark 81 times.
